What is the "Handicap" market and how many are there?

There are two types of Handicap markets: Traditional (also known as European) and Asian. When you place a Handicap bet (+ or -), you bet that the chosen market will be resolved positively even with an advantage or disadvantage.

🔸 Asian Handicap

The bet will always have options between team 1 and team 2, not allowing you to bet, for example, on a draw. This market has integer or decimal values (0.25 / 0.50 / 0.75 / 1.00) and has 5 possible results, namely: Win, Refund, Lost, Half Lost and Half Win. Therefore, this type of handicap bet gives you a certain gaming flexibility.

🔸 European Handicap

The bet will have three options between team 1, team 2 and a draw. This market only has integer values (+/- 1.00; +/- 2.00; +/- 3.00, etc.) as a choice.

Example:

If you choose the “Handicap - Final Result - Flamengo -2”, this means that you bet that Flamengo would win the game even with a 2-goal deficit.
The “-” indicates a disadvantage, and you can apply it at the beginning or end of the game.
Imagine that the final score of the game was 3-0.

🔸 Applying at the beginning: -2 goals from the handicap disadvantage + 3 goals scored in the game = 1 goal difference.

🔸 Applying at the end: 3 goals scored in the game - 2 goals from the handicap disadvantage = 1 goal difference.

Whether applied at the beginning or end, the final result must ALWAYS be in favor of the team you bet on.
